I've noticed a pretty big drop in my GV60 Performance's range this summer. I'm in the mid-Atlantic, and while I expected some winter range loss, I didn't think it would be this bad when temps climbed back into the 70s and 90s. I'm mostly a city driver and use max auto-regen. Could it be a software update or something else?

I think you're looking at the reduction in the vehicle's projected driving distance rather than the actual decrease in the distance it can travel on a single charge. They aren't the same.

Range drops in summer can be attributed to a few factors, like AC usage, tire pressure changes due to heat, and driving habits. While max auto-regen is generally helpful, frequent stop-and-go traffic in the city could offset some of the benefits. Check your tire pressure and ensure your car’s software is up to date, both could impact efficiency.

A range drop in warmer weather with a GV60 Performance, especially in the mid-Atlantic, doesn't sound right. While some range variation is normal with temperature changes and driving style, a big drop in the 70s-90s is a red flag. Max auto-regen should actually help your range in city driving, so that's not the culprit. I'd definitely check if there have been any recent software updates – sometimes they can inadvertently affect efficiency. Also, tire pressure is crucial, so make sure they're at the recommended levels. Beyond that, it's worth getting it checked by the dealer. There could be a battery health issue, a problem with the cooling system (especially important in the heat), or even something draining power when the car is off.
