GV70 Fingerprint Reader Issues

Hey guys,

I’m dealing with a total mess of a fingerprint reader on my ‘23 GV70 - it’s like it has a mind of its own and just won;t cooperate. I’m looking to wipe the current fingerprint registration and try adding a new one, but I’m hitting a wall. Anyone else tangled up in this mess or got any genius fixes? Hit me up with your tips!

Got rid of my fingerprint by deleting my profile! Had to go back and redo all the other settings afterward, though.

I don;t really like dealing with fingerprint reader issue on a '23 GV70! It sounds like wiping the old fingerprints and starting fresh is a good idea. Usually, there's a setting in the car's infotainment system menu specifically for managing fingerprints' Look for something like "Biometrics," "User Profile," or "Security."

Within that menu, there should be an option to delete existing fingerprints. Make sure your fingers are clean and dry when you try to register a new print, and try different angles to get a good scan. If you've tried all that and it's still not working, it might be worth contacting your Genesis dealer. There could be a software glitch or even a problem with the fingerprint reader itself.
