Is this normal or is it just my Apple Watch acting up? I can't use the remote climate start via my Apple Watch even though I tried deleting and reinstalling the Genesis app.

I find it interesting that I can control my Genesis's climate through my Apple Watch using both the Genesis app (as long as my phone is nearby) and the Apple Key (which uses that cool short-range technology).

The watch app basically gives me a taste of what the full Genesis app on my phone can do, but with fewer features. And the best part is that I don't have to be standing right next to my car to use it!

However, there's a slight drawback: the watch app seems to rely on my phone's connection to work. It doesn't appear to use the watch's own Wi-Fi or cellular capabilities to send the commands. It's a bit disappointing that it's not fully independent.

It’s a bit of a bummer that the Apple Watch app doesn’t have full functionality without the phone nearby. It’d be awesome if it could just work independently, especially when you're not near your car.
