Fuel Grade for 2022 GV70?

I'm a bit confused about the recommended fuel grade for my 22 GV70. The gas cap says to use premium; but my dealer told me regular is fine.

What are you all using? Do I really need premium, or can I just go with regular?

Ok, so while a lot of cars can run on regular fuel, you might notice a small drop in performance compared to using premuim, which is what your car was actually designed for. If the manufacturer recommends premium; it’s definitely worth sticking with it. Plus, going for top-tier gas means you're getting better detergents in the fuel, which helps keep your engine cleaner and running smoother over time.

Got it, that makes sense. I was kinda wondering if it’d actually make a difference in performance.. Guess I’ll just play it safe and stick with premium then, esp if it helps keep the engine running smoother in the long run. Thanks. man!

I’m sticking with premium fuel because I didn’t shell out extra for a 3.5TT just to hold back on performance with some cheap gas. If I was all about penny-pinching, I wouldn’t have gone for the 3.5TT in the first place! For me, it’s all about unleashing every ounce of that engine’s potential.
