Just got a rock chip that turned into a big crack on my GV60 windshield. Taking it to dealership, but they're saying I need to pay for a recalibration after the replacement. Sounds fishy to me. Did you need to recalibrate your GV60 windshield?

Yup, it's needed. The recalibration procedure is meticulous and requires precision. It's all part of the replacement.

The camera will require calibration after the glass replacement, as they remove it from the old glass and reattach it to the new one. This process is included in the replacement, so there’s no extra cost. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to grab a few other quotes or hit up your insurance to see what they suggest.

Recalibration should be part of the deal. You usually have a year to get it done. Make sure they put the windshield under the seal properly.

So, how much did you end up paying for it? And how's the windshield holding up? Also, any issues pop up after the recalibration? I'm really interested to hear about your experience.

I'm really curious about the fees too! How's the windshield holding up, did anything unusual happen after the recalibration?
