GV70 - Inconsistent Locking Behavior and Notifications

Hello! I recently picked up a GV70 and I'm a bit confused about its locking system. At first, it seemed like the car had a mind of its own, automatically locking itself after a short period, even if I left it unlocked. But now, the behavior is inconsistent. Sometimes it locks, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm also curious about the phone notifications. I used to get alerts for unlocked cars, but with the GV70, it's hit or miss. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Any tips or tricks to ensure consistent locking behavior and reliable notifications?

The GV70 might be auto-relocking when you unlock it but don’t open any doors. In other cases, it won’t auto-lock unless you have left it unlocked for a while.

That’s super frustrating, especially when you’re trying to keep things secure! It might be worth checking if the auto-lock behavior is tied to the key’s proximity. For the notifications, I’ve found that enabling all app permissions (especially background refresh) helps a lot. If it keeps happening, the dealership might need to check for any software updates.

I was quite confused at the beginning as well, @NaleseanAldi! In this case, @WindowsVista1 is right. The doors don't auto-lock. It will auto-relock.
