I just learned something super cool. You don’t have to set your car to auto-unlock when you finish a trip. You can just yank on the door handle to unlock and open it, even if it’s locked. It’s a safer bet since it keeps random folks from hopping into your ride. Pretty slick, huh?

When you lift the door handle inside the car, the back doors do not unlock; instead, you must unlock one of the other doors after exiting the driver's seat to get something out of the back.

I guess it all comes down to how often you need to grab or toss something when you're getting in or out of the car. It’s kind of a trade-off between convenience and safety.

Yeah, definitely a balance. I get the whole safety thing, but sometimes I just wanna grab something from the back without jumping through hoops. It’s so annoying having to walk all the way around just to unlock one door. But I guess they gotta do their thing to keep it secure. Still, if I could figure out a quicker way, I’d be all over it.

Basically, if you unlock the car while it's still moving, nobody can get in. It's probably for safety.
