Currently choosing the GV70 2.5T and weighing the several trim choices; more especially, the Sport Prestige trim. This trim calls for both the Aluminum Trim with Haptic Carbon Pattern and the Waveline Backlit Trim, and I'm not sure how these two work.

From what I’ve seen, the Sport Prestige package builds on the previous trims and adds more features, but I’m unsure how the Waveline Backlit Trim and the Aluminum Haptic Carbon Pattern fit in. Is the Haptic Carbon Pattern overlaid on top of the Waveline Backlit Trim, or are these two separate trim details in different parts of the interior?

I’ve seen the Waveline Backlit Trim in person, and it looks incredible, so I’d prefer that. I’m wondering if there’s a way to have the Sport Prestige trim but without the Aluminum Haptic Carbon Pattern, and just keep the Waveline Backlit Trim visible. Can the aluminum trim be removed to expose the Waveline trim underneath?

I think the Aluminum Haptic Carbon Pattern is a replacement for the Wave Backlit. I believe the mood lighting still surrounds the edge, but the Carbon Pattern itself doesn't seem to be backlit.

So, both trims are separate elements in the interior design. The Waveline one is designed to strike you (haha) with ambient lighting, and the Aluminium one is there with a different texture and finish. Somehow, they coexist in different areas of the interior. And please, don't try to remove the Aluminium trim, unless you want to have your car's design messed up.
