Can I use Car Play without an USB?

Hi!

I can't believe I am having this issue.
- no one can hear me very well when I use my phone while having car play going on;
- when the phone is connected through Bluetooth, they can hear me well.

I can't stop using the car play, because I need the maps. I travel a lot.
Is there any way to get my car play to sound better on the other end of the call? Or maybe using it without and USB?
Thanks in advance!

Are you on an iPhone? I’ve seen a bunch of us iPhone peeps are dealing with the same annoying issue (yep, me too!). Fingers crossed for an OTA fix soon!

CarPlay gave me a lot of stress few months back. My calls sounded terrible, but when I switched to Bluetooth, it was crystal clear. I ended up using Bluetooth for calls and kept CarPlay for navigation, which worked out fine. It was a lot man, but at least I could still use the maps while having clear conversation...Well I hope you find a solution that works for you.

Hey @Faithjanelle35 and @Fionageorge, thanks for the responses!

Yeah, I am on an iPhone, and it has definitely been a headache. I was hoping for an easy fix, but it sounds like a common issue that is lingering. I will try out the Bluetooth workaround for calls and keep CarPlay for maps like you suggested, @Fionageorge. Fingers crossed they push an OTA update soon to solve this, though. It is a pain switching back and forth while on the road.
