So my mom’s GV60 had a bit of a freakout - it threw this weird error about the electronic limited slip differential overheating. It was parked at a restaurant when it happened, and then the warning disappeared a few minutes after she started the car again. Oh, and she also got some collision detection sensor warnings. Anyone else seen this before? Think the hot weather could be the culprit?

I had my LSD actuator replaced under warranty because of this issue. It was all good ever since it was replaced. Try having your dealer confirm it.

It looks like some 2021 and newer Prestige models have been having trouble with their limited slip differentials. Apparently, it's often due to super low fluid in the rear differential, and sometimes there are even metal shavings inside! Yikes. A lot of people have had to get their whole rear differential replaced, and some have even gone the buyback route because of all the repairs or the wait for parts. If you want to dig deeper, try searching online – you'll probably find more info. Just a heads-up though, some folks who did the buyback might have signed agreements to keep things confidential, so they might not be able to share all the details. Has anyone else heard about this or experienced it themselves?
