So I just threw an aftermarket subwoofer into my GV70, and now it’s causing this super annoying rumble thanks to the RANC system. I can sort of fix it by cracking a window, but I’m really hoping to just disable RANC for good. Anyone know how to ditch those annoying microphones or disable RANC completely?

Oh man, I totally ran into the same thing! Turns out, it was that fake engine noise feature - it’s supposed to make your car sound all badass and sporty, but honestly, it can just be super annoying. Give turning that thing off a shot and see if that does the trick!

Just recalibrate the RANC system. Some audio shops can help tweak the system or dampen the microphones a bit.

I know someone uses sound-dead material to reduce that rumble. But I don't know how efficient might be.

If nothing works for you, then disable the Active Noise Cancellation system through a software update or modding. But that's the last resort. I hope you will fix with the @EvIslife15 method.

Did you try unplugging the mics attached? I believe there are 8 mics on it. Try unplugging 1-2 mics if it solves the issue.
