Okay, so I'm trying to figure out if I should buy or lease a GV60. I found this killer deal on a ‘23 model but I’m freaking out about the car’s value tanking down the line. I've heard horror stories about the Ford Mach-E losing value and I don’t want to end up stuck with a car that’s a pain to sell later on, you know? Leasing seems like the safer bet, but I’m not sure if I can snag a sweet lease deal on a 2024 model. Any advice? I’m totally lost!

that’s a tough call. I’ve been wondering the same thing about leasing vs. buying EVs. Leasing seems safer since EV values can drop quickly as new tech comes out, but buying gives you ownership. Did the dealer give you any numbers on how much a lease would cost compared to buying?

Depreciation is a reality when it comes to EVs, and it can really sting. But let's be honest, most of us are aware of this from the start. So, if I were to grab a brand-new EV off the lot, I’d probably just lease it.

Basically, EVs depreciate fast, so think about the GV60's future value, not just the current price. That '23 deal looks good now, but what about later? Leasing a '24 avoids depreciation worries, but it costs too. Compare the total lease cost to buying and then selling. The GV60 might hold its value better than a Mach-E, but who knows with EVs? How long do you usually keep cars? Short term? Leasing might be better. Long term? Buying's probably smarter. Nobody can predict the used EV market, so get all the numbers for buying and leasing, compare, and think about your driving habits. Look up GV60 resale values if you can. It's all up to you!
