Anyone out there with parking sensors? I'm seriously considering getting them installed but I'm worried about those nasty concrete and asphalt curbs that seem to be everywhere around here. Do parking sensors actually pick up those things before you crunch your bumper? I'm talking about the low ones that are just begging to scrape your car.

I have parking sensors, and they've been pretty useful. They catch most obstacles, but low curbs can be tricky depending on where the sensors are placed. I’d still suggest being careful with those, especially the really low ones. Adding a camera along with the sensors is definitely a good idea.

I agree, parking sensors are really helpful, but low curbs can still be missed depending on their placement. I’m now thinking about adding a camera for more accurate parking.

curbs are the bane of my existence! Parking sensors are definitely a lifesaver, but whether they'll catch those low-profile curb is a bit of a gamble. Most sensors are designed to detect obstacles at bumper height, so those super-low curbs might slip under their radar. It really depends on the sensor placement and the angle of the curb. Front sensors are generally better for curbs than rear ones, but they're not foolproof. Honestly, a combination of sensors and a good backup camera with top-down view is your best bet. And even then, a healthy dose of caution is always recommended when parking!
