My GV70 is just 1 week old when suddenly it won't start. Tried everything but it won't. Called my dealer to have it checked and they confirmed it's a dead battery.

I'm curious as to why this would happen to such a new vehicle.

New vehicle with a battery issue?

I guess it is too soon.

Did the dealer mention anything about the cause?

I hope you get a permanent fix.

Also, do you have to pay anything?

Pff, why would it die so soon? Any chance there was something draining it, like lights left on or a system not shutting down? I am curious as @jumbo31. There must be a cause. I wish you the best with your car.

I don't know what to say right now, but be aware more in the future:
  • make sure no lights or electronics stay on after you lock the car
  • ask the dealer to check the battery connections
  • after they fix it, keep an on eye how the battery performs over the next week or so.
Hopefully, it won't happen again.

Wow, that must be super frustrating!😤😤 I haven't heard from anyone yet to have a dead battery in a brand-new GV70. 😐🙄 Finger crossed it is a quick fix. I can see these guys already gave you some good insights.
