So I'm on the brink of sealing the deal on a GV60, but I'm seriously stressing about those long drives to visit my mom every few months! It’s about 220+ miles, and I'm clueless on how long charging will take. My salesman is pretty much MIA when it comes to answers, and finding reliable info on charging stations feels like pulling teeth. I really don't want to spend half my trip parked at a charger. Anyone out there tackled a long drive like this in an EV?

Try PlugShare. Regular use will help you overcome range anxiety and make road trips less stressful. DC fast charging allows you to quickly recharge to 80%.

Yeah, this can be stressing. But I have a few that might help you:
  • use PlugShare or ChargePoint apps to identify available stations along the way, so you can plan your route;
  • if you use DC fast chargers they will get you to 80% in about 20-30 minutes
I think the first time will be difficult, but once you learn the road, you will get used to it and how is the best to charge your car and where. Good luck.

Understandable situation, @MitchyDee... 220+ miles is a lot for an EV... I already saw people write about Plugshare... Yes, that helps a lot... anyway, have you tried mapping your route, yet? Or do you only overthink the situation?

Haha, oh man! I feel you! Long drivers can be a bit nervous and emotional at first, especially in an EV. But I think you should not worry. Fast chargers are everywhere nowadays, haha! Just make sure you plan ahead at least a few things. Have a great one, haha!

The first road trip in an EV is always a bit nerve-wracking. So, we feel you @MitchyDee. It seems you have good advice here. Anyway, once you start driving long trips, you won't have these problems anymore.
