Your tires might be the culprit if you have range anxiety. Did you know that the right tires can seriously boost your EV's range? Low rolling resistance tires are the key. It's all about how much energy it takes to keep your car rolling. Proper tire pressure is also crucial. Over or underinflated tires can kill your range and even be dangerous. Anyone else obsessed with maximizing their EV's efficiency?

It's intriguing that they don't provide estimated fuel savings from using low rolling resistance tires, despite the fact that almost all tire manufacturers have been working to improve rolling resistance across their product lines for several years.

It is not obsession, it is precaution. 😅 I have been experimenting with tire pressure too, and keeping it just right has helped improve efficiency.

@lazy_boy good point about the lack of fuel savings estimates. You would think by now manufacturers would include that info, given how much EV drivers care about range.

Let me tell you. Low rolling resistance tires make a freaking difference.
I switched mine out a few months ago and immediately saw a better range on longer trips.
And regarding the tire pressure, I make it a habit to check every couple of weeks, especially when there are temperature changes.
In my opinion, it is all about habits and being cautious. So @Gardenimpulsive44, you are not obsessed.

For me, it's annoying that they don't say how much range you can save with low rolling resistance tires; I looked it up and discovered that it's only a 1% increase, which isn't worth it.
